Mystical geological de Haan

Representing Prairies and the North, Jason de Haan is the other finalist for the 2012 Sobey Art Award that I like.  Described as mystical geology, de Haan's works are poetically captivating, often with arresting transcendence.

One of the finalists for the 2012 Sobey Art Award, Ontario's Derek Sullivan is currently showing his drawings and sculptures at MOCCA (Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art):
