Weiße Bilder
From his retrospective Sehr Gut | Very Good at Hamburger Bahnhof, Martin Kippenberger's very provocative Ohne Titel (Weiße Bilder) series is among the exhibits.
Hi Erik, Kippenberger's Weiße Bilder is a series of monochromatic white paintings on canvas embedded into the white walls of the "empty" gallery in which they are shown. On each canvas is text in German or English handwritten in gloss white by a child, sometimes with spelling mistakes, commenting on Kippenberger's paintings. The comments always mark "sehr gut" or "very good". (That's how the exhibition got its title, I guess.)
Hey Kee, looks interesting. i never liked kippenberger but whats happening here? You can hardly see. Is it on paper?
