Big Finish!
The first time ever I had my work shown in a gallery was in Yumart Gallery, Toronto. So it is bittersweet to see the gallery presenting its final show Big Finish before the gallery owner embarks on her well-deserved retirement. Today is the last day of the show, which showcases its gallery artists, past and present, including these personal favourites of mine ...
Thank you, Y, for giving me the chance to start my artistic journey a few years ago. I wish you a sweet, carefree and enjoyable retirement, with good fortune and good health!

Matthew Wong's Ruins and The Wish:
One of Jean-Paul Kelly's How Cruelty Disgusts The View While Pity Charms The Sight drawings:
Wong's Ruins made me cry when I first saw it, just like a Giorgio de Chirico's painting would. Poignant and depressing, and together with Kelly's drawings, they weighed on me so much that I had to come back to see the rest of the exhibition on a different day.
