Words

This is my first Mother's Day without my mom.  She was in the hospital this time last year, and I was still able to visit and feed her everyday.  This was one of the many music videos we watched together when she was in her hospital bed.  Mom, I miss you so much.

There's An Architectural Solution To Every Mathematical Problem

Toronto's Crescent School celebrates the arts every spring with their one-evening-only event LUNA.  For this year's iteration, LUNA Orbit, which took place two days ago, I presented my project There's An Architectural Solution To Every Mathematical Problem.  The highlight of the project is a site-specific floor installation of tape drawing, which unintentionally but aptly reminds you of Sol LeWitt's sculptures.

Sorry for the delay today.  I tried to upload some videos of the installation but Blogger didn't let me.  So I had to settle for some screen shots.

All By Myself ... Overnight Sensation

I just learned that the talented Eric Carmen passed away last month.  With a segment borrowed from Sergei Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, he created this very tasteful piece called All By Myself in 1975:

Before going solo, Carmen was part of the band Raspberries, with this incredible Overnight Sensation in 1974:
