FitzGerald's fractal sun

Dorian FitzGerald's paintings were created through a painstakingly slow process, which may take years to complete.  In his own words, he is most interested in "symmetrically organized, complex masses of objects that assume fractal-like forms".  I saw his "fractal" sun at Toronto's Clint Roenisch Gallery yesterday.
