Mountains and repetitions

I went to the opening reception of Clive Holden's solo exhibition, the latest iteration of Internet Mountains, at Toronto's Stephen Bulger Gallery last weekend.  Though not necessarily the best time to contemplate art, the perks of meeting and listening to the artist is invaluable.  I only managed to take a few pictures:

Congratulations on the new show, Clive.  I would really love to chat with you again some other time.

Internet Mountains

I was totally caught by surprise when I visited Stephen Bulger Gallery the other day.  I ran into Clive Holden when I was captivated by his video project Internet Mountains.  It's the interesting intersection of primeval landform frozen in time and fleeting fads of technology, a crossover of natural landscape and video games.

Thank you for sharing, Clive.  I look forward to seeing the other Internet Mountains video now showing concurrently at the Art Gallery of Mississauga.  Nice seeing you too, C, and finally meeting you, J.
