Melsheimer's Green Archipelago
Isa Melsheimer's solo exhibition A Green Archipelago at Esther Schipper echoes the architecture of the city of Berlin, including Mies van der Rohe's Neue Nationalgalerie directly opposite to the gallery. The title of the exhibition also pays tribute to O.M. Ungers's 1977 project Berlin As Green Archipelago, which suggests fragmentation of the city as it evolves.
