Drei Bäume

Katharina Grosse's current solo exhibition Sieben Stunden, Acht Stimmen, Drei Bäume was what brought me on a day trip to Museum Wiesbaden when I was visiting Düsseldorf in July.  In addition to her much tamer paintings, which I will show here later, is her immersive site-specific installation with three trees:

Grosse's imploding ellipses

Compared with her site specific installations, which often spill over the canvas on to walls, floors and ceilings, Katharina Grosse's paintings of self-imploding ellipses are clearly much tamer.
