Dada + Echo + Time

I caught a couple of shows that were on their last day in Berlin yesterday.  The survey exhibition Hans Richter: Begegnungen - Von Dada Bis Heute at Martin-Gropius-Bau was really inspiring to me.  It's a pity no photography was allowed.  A Dada moment outside the Martin-Gropius-Bau building, with the Richter exhibition banner:



The last show at Berlinische Galerie before it's closed for months of construction was Nik Nowak's Echo ηχὠ.  Here, Nowak used robot drones to follow visitors and echo noises made by them.  He also explored the idea of digital echoes through copying.









Also at Berlinische Galerie was Ignacio Uriarte's sound installation Acht Stunden Zählen, which cleverly used language to structure the abstract idea of time.  Last glimpse of my favourite Berlinische Galerie before its temporary closure:
