Grove

All elements of Oldrich Pancocha and Pawel Cichowski's installation Grove came from a single tree 60 feet tall.  When the tree was forced to be taken down, it was deconstructed and reconstructed into five smaller "trees".  By bringing the site-specific installation to the interior, the relationship between nature and the man-made environment is strangely reversed.  Pancocha and Cichowski's installation can be found inside a retail storefront of the Chicago Arts District at the intersection of South Halsted and West 19th Streets.
