Stewart's flowers

The unforgiving winter came back with a thick blanket of paralyzing snowfall last night, covering every sign of spring ...

From the exhibition The Flower QuestionSean Ross Stewart's flowers are subtle and abstract.  Mostly without bright colours, their sombreness is more in line with my ideal spring.  Stewart currently at Birch Contemporary, Toronto:












Stewart's sculptures are equally subdued like remembering spring from distant memories:
