Pathétique
I have been listening to the second movement of Beethoven's Pathétique, Piano Sonata No. 8 in C minor Op. 13 almost everyday lately. This is my favourite version, just a single pianist Éric Heidsieck, without a grand orchestra. I must admit that the sound quality of the video is rather mediocre but I really like the pace, which is a bit faster than most other pianists' playing.

Chromatic approximations of the number π
LUNA is an annual one-evening-only event at Toronto's Crescent School celebrating the arts. This year's iteration, LUNA Nova, is the first time in three years that this event returns in-person on-site. Chromatic approximations of the number π is my project for LUNA this year.
π is known to be an irrational number, which means that it is a non-terminating non-recurring decimal. As it is not possible to exactly represent π with all its digits, we can only approximate it. My project explores approximations of π using colours. Here are some snapshots of my project from this past Thursday ...

Rational approximations of π and the distribution of primes
I found recently this very interesting video that reveals an unlikely connection between rational approximations of π and the distribution of prime numbers. Enjoy!

You x2
This song came out in 1991 but I’ve never listened to its resonating melancholy as much as I have in the recent weeks when my father passed away and my aging mother is coping with life.

The Tangled Garden
My Instagram account was hacked on March 17, and I haven’t been able to access it until just recently when I regained control of it again. As I see that the risk of my account being hijacked again is very low, I have now gradually restored its use. For more than six weeks, I have halted all activities on social media, fearing that the security of my other social media accounts might also be compromised. I now feel safe enough to return. Thank you all for your continued support.
A lot has happened in these past weeks. I was tormented from a family loss. But I did manage to have a few gallery visits. Here's one. Luis Jacob's The Tangled Garden series from his solo exhibition Borderline Cases: Two In The Bush currently at Patel Brown Gallery, Toronto:
