Originally completed in 1894 on a strip where the Berlin Wall was later erected and demolished, Kapelle der Versöhnung was rebuilt by Rudolf Reitermann and Peter Sassenroth, and was reopened in 1999. With its timber outer wall and a pressed clay encasement, the church is a fine example of sustainable design.
