We Are All Unfinished Drawings

Diango Hernández's installation We Are All Unfinished Drawings consists of nine painted architectural objects standing freely on a room-sized rectangular floor drawing.  Each object was painted with sunny and shaded sides as if the installation were illuminated by an imaginary light source.  The interplay of (imaginary) light and space is very interesting.

Cathedrals

Berlin's Capitain Petzel is currently hosting John Stezaker's solo exhibition Crossing Over.  In addition to his recent collage works, he also has three new films on view.  I first saw Stezaker's film debut this March at London's The Approach.  It was a mesmerizing bombardment of images in short loops (of typically less than 20 seconds) flashing at a speed of 24 stills per second.  At the Capitain Petzel show I saw yesterday, his film Cathedral was my number one choice - I'm shamelessly biased toward architectural themes.  Here are some "stills" from the film:
