My 6-day stay at Düsseldorf hasn't been very pleasant. Still sick and slept all day yesterday. Thankfully people have been very kind to me. Hope things are getting better when I fly to London this evening.
At Kunst in Tunnel's (KIT) current group exhibition Avante Brasil, Tatiana Blass's video Piano Surdo (deaf piano) shows a pianist playing Chopin while, at the same time, a mixture of warm wax and vaseline is poured into the piano. As the wax in the piano cools down, it hardens, making it impossible for the keys to be played. I feel the struggle, in vain, and frustration against repressed speech.

Young Danish and German artists were introduced at Düsseldorf's KIT (Kunst Im Tunnel) group show Ich Wittre Morgenluftthis past summer. Danish artist Sofie Holten's installation at the show was inspired by Bjarke Ingels's 2010 8-House in Ørestad, Copenhagen.
