A visit to the exhibition at Kolumba has always been a challenge to the regular frame of mind.  Since I arrived at Köln yesterday in the afternoon, I must admit that my time (just over 1.5 hours) was a bit tight to acquire my best experience at Kolumba.  Their current exhibition is titled Zeigen Verhüllen Verbergen. Cole x Mies

I visited a less well-known house by Mies van der Rohe just outside the city centre in northeast Berlin today.  Landhaus Lemke, now known as the Mies van der Rohe Haus, is currently used as a contemporary art gallery.

Showing now at the Mies van der Rohe Haus is Max Cole's painting and drawing exhibition ... to the line.  Cole's restrained use of forms and colours matches perfectly Mies's elegantly minimalist space.
