Hodges' poetic command of temporality continues ...

The main purpose of my trip to NYC this time is to visit the art galleries in Chelsea.  I spent both Friday and Saturday afternoons in Chelsea but, not that I'm complaining, there is just too much to see.  Although the entire region between W19th and W29th Streets is dusted with numerous galleries, I only managed to walk through W24th on Friday and W21st on Saturday.

Gladstone Gallery presents Jim Hodges' latest solo exhibition at two locations simultaneously, one on W21st and one on W24th.  Despite his departure from the ephemeral quality and intimate scale of earlier works, Hodges' interest in the temporal and his poetic use of material remain.
