Glasgow impressions

Glasgow during my visit in June, 2014 ...

Richard Wright's skylight installation at the Modern Institute, Aird's Lane, is certainly the most memorable.

Wright @ Pavillon der Volksbühne

Accompanying Richard Wright's Berlin exhibition Nine Chains To The Moon (Chapter 2) at BQ is his wall painting at Pavillon der Volksbühne right across the street from BQ.

Nine Chains To The Moon (Chapter 2)

Richard Wright is going to be the star of my summer trip this year.  In addition to seeing his amazing installations both in Glasgow and Edinburgh last week, I was so excited to see his works on paper yesterday.  From his current show Nine Chains To The Moon (Chapter 2) at BQ, Berlin:

Wright has aptly complemented his own show by including works by other artists at his invitation.  Tony Swain is one of them:

Even the exterior of the gallery has been wrapped with Wright's very own hand-painted posters:

Thanks to BQ, I also saw Wright's temporary wall painting at another location yesterday.  I'll show it with a separate post later.

Wright: divine light

Richard Wright's latest site-specific skylight installation is poetry written in divine pure daylight.

Abstract Drawing

Curated by Richard Deacon, the exhibition Abstract Drawing at Drawing Room is probably not in the radar of most visiting London.  It was high on my must-see list when I visited London last month since abstract drawing is a big part of what I do.
