White Line Light
Carsten Nicolai and Olaf Bender’s light/sound installation White Line Light at Strachan Avenue Old Police Station from Toronto’s 2007 Nuit Blanche is still one of my best NB experiences. (Sad that it's been all going downhill now year after year.) Sorry I couldn't find a good clip of the Toronto installation online. Here's a later iteration in the Hague:

Pythagorean primes
Fermat stated that an odd prime p can be expressed as a sum of two squares if and only if p leaves a remainder of 1 when divided by 4:
p = a2 + b2 ⇔ p ≡ 1 (mod 4),
where a and b are some positive integers. Such primes are called Pythagorean primes.
If you are interested, the proof can be found in any elementary number theory textbooks.

Paterson's Earth-Moon-Earth
Been sick for a few days. Here I'm back, still feeling a bit foggy though ...
I saw this at Toronto's Power Plant group exhibition Universal Code in 2009. Katie Paterson's Earth-Moon-Earth is still one of my most favourite art installations of all time. Here's Paterson in her own words about the very clever yet moving work:
