Gehry + Kapoor

The Art Institute of Chicago is a really HUGE museum.  I spent the entire day there yesterday but only managed to visit the newest Modern Wing.  Right next to it is the Millennium Park, which is dominated by the unmistakable Frank Gehry-designed 2004 Pritzker Pavilion:









Nearby is Anish Kapoor's very popular sculpture Cloud Gate, which seems to attract a bigger and bigger crowd every time I visit Chicago:

Fourth Plinth

The exhibition Fourth Plinth: Contemporary Monument currently at London's ICA (Institute of Contemporary Arts) is a documentation of the thirteen years' history of this art commission in Trafalgar Square.  Some of the projects exhibited have been materialized; some have not.  Here are my favourite ones:
