More colours in Peckham

I had another colourful day in south London.  Will Alsop's 2000 award-winning Peckham Library adds colours to the southern edge of London.  People in Toronto might think they have seen a different version of this building somewhere ...

This is my last day in Duesseldorf.  I visited K20 and K21.  Except for their temporary exhibitions, I saw most of the works on view last year.  Nothing really striked me this time.

Let me conclude my Duesseldorf visit with some of its remarkable architecture.  Duesseldorf's most impressive contemporary architecture is showcased in the Medienhafen district.  Frank Gehry's and Will Alsop's creations definitely catch most of my attention.

Provocative, unconventional and whimsical, Will Alsop's 2004 addition to the OCAD (Ontario College of Art & Design) is one of my favourite buildings in Toronto.  It adds colours and playfulness to this otherwise dreary city.  It reminds us that architecture can be fun.
